I've actually now taken all the downloaded music off my phone because the icloud back-up wouldn't work and there were also some inconsistencies between different parts of my phone and what downloaded music it thought was on there. The reason I wanted to do an icloud back-up is because I tried to back-up to my laptop and there were some weird inconsistencies between my iphone and itunes related to downloaded music.
